the future now, Museum of Craft and Design

the future now, 2023

the future now was a sprawling, site-responsive public art project illuminating facets of Black life in San Francisco and exploring the state of national politics during the height of COVID-19 lockdowns in the winter of 2020. The original set of fifteen posters were presented in English, Chinese, and Spanish and were hung in windows within walking distance along the 3rd Street corridor of San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood.

A selection of the original 45 prints along with documentation of their initial window installations is presented as a part of Fight or Flight at the Museum of Craft and Design, San Francisco, CA. Curated by Jacqueline Francis and Ariel Zaccheo.
